Southeast Texas Antique Dealers Association

• We believe that southeast Texas offers a tremendous opportunity for the growth and development of a very strong antique center such as those in other areas of the state such as Gladewater, Baird, Roundtop, etc.
• With the promotion by local antique dealers, the backing of some Beaumont city leaders and the Beaumont Convention & Visitors Bureau, we are going to put southeast Texas on the map as a MAJOR antique center.
• With the strength possessed by a large group of area dealers we can get the attention of not only local government officials & business leaders but state-wide attention. All to assist and further promote this area as a STRONG antique center.
• As a group we will have a large array of benefits that will help all of us make our shops and businesses stronger and more successful.

Absolutely not!

While we do have the Beaumont Convention & Visitors Bureau and other city officials behind the idea of promoting antiques in this area, we all know that it cannot just be Beaumont.  That is why the organization is named Southeast Texas Antique Dealers Association.  This has to be a regional effort or it will not work.

With the entire area working together, we can make southeast Texas a wonderful destination for antique buyers nationwide.

Hopefully we can get officials  in other cities to join in and help promote this fantastic idea and help us make it work.

The list of benefits will grow, but the initial proposed benefits include:

1. Inclusion in brochure featuring SETADA and location map. To be distributed in visitor centers and the Beaumont Convention & Visitor's Bureau events. This brochure will be part of nationwide promotions by the Beaumont CVB. (This is a very important and powerful benefit).

2. Web page directory listing for each member on this site. Businesses will have expanded listings that may include a full web page dedicated to their business. We will be working to optimize the pages for the Internet search engines. Each page will have individual contact information as well as details about the dealer and their offerings. 4. A printed directory is planned when membership total warrants publication.

5. Member discounts at various locations including from other dealers & shops.

6. Membership certificate and ID card. (Member & Associate only)

7. Recognition in the community as a member.

8. Joint advertising opportunities in local publications.

9. Acess to all products in the SETADA store including T-shirts, caps, decals, jackets, coffee mugs, etc.

10. Highly discounted and sometimes FREE advertising available through existing network of antique & collectible web sites, guides, and other media.

11.  Discounts of up to 10% for car rental and other services through Alamo Rent a Car.

12. Multiple listings on "sister" web sites that are now under development including regional, state-wide, and national markets.

13. INCREASED SALES DUE TO ASSOCIATION PROMOTION AND PUBLIC RELATIONS EFFORTS.

We want to be very inclusive of as many businesses as we can and thus we use a very broad definition of Antique Dealer.  As long as you sell some antiques and collectibles, you are eligible for membership as either a Member or an Association.

Of course, anyone can join as an Affiliate.
